Madonna sat down with Good Morning America post-workout for an exclusive interview.
She talked about everything from her kids, her choreography and the one controversy over one particular number in both her concert tour and upcoming film.
On the MDNA Tour Rehearsals…
We learn our choreographies in sneakers and then we start practicing in heels that are not quite as high.
On the MDNA Tour gun controversy…
No [I didn’t think about not including that].
That would be like asking people to not have guns in action movies.
Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.
The whole perception of the show is like an action movie.
I was playing a supervixen, who wanted revenge.
On Lourdes…
She worked in the wardrobe department.
She had the very unglamorous task of dressing and undressing all the male dancers (laughs.)
Well, we had a lot of male dancers. It had its unglamorous moments. They’re disgusting, they’re sweaty and they’re rude, but she took her job very seriously.
On Rocco…
Yes [he wanted to go on tour with me.]
He threw himself in front of me.
On parenting…
I’m a pretty strict mom.
My daughter just got an iPhone. She’s sixteen.
My son does not have a phone.
Ever since my daughter got an iPhone, she stopped talking to me.
Lightning round…
One thing you would like to change about yourself?
My impatience.Can you eat anything?
I’m guilty of eating Magnum bars before I go sleep at night.French fries?
Yes, I’ve had French fries for the last three nights.Biggest love of your life?
That would be my children.Might you ever get married again?
I might.Do you want to?
I might. How much longer do you think you’ll be doing this?
I don’t know. I’ve always danced and exercised.
I can’t imagine not doing it.
So, I’ll be Martha Graham in my nineties, doing contractions on the floor.
