Madonna attended a show by the Dutch contemporary dance company NDT at the New York City Center last night. She even had a short meet and greet with the troupe…
Nederlands Dans Theater, which has gained international fame for pushing boundaries in contemporary dance with its bold repertory and astonishing virtuosity, is performing at the City Center this fall. Led by Artistic Director Paul Lightfoot, the Dutch troupe performed the US premieres of Safe as Houses and Stop-Motion—a pair of incendiary ballets by NDT house choreographers Sol León and Paul Lightfoot—as well as dizzyingly original works by two of today’s finest dance makers: Marco Goecke’s Woke up Blind and Crystal Pite’s The Statement.
